S.M.A.R.T. Future Youth Initiative stands for school materials and resources for tomorrows future.  This program main goal is to provide book bags and basic school supplies to underprivileged students in Saint Lucia. The program seeks to assist at least one hundred students each year with a new book bag and school supplies for the beginning of the new school year. The program is usually funded by the fundraising efforts of Friends, Supporters, and Volunteers of Children of Helen Alliance Inc. As the group continues to grow we hope to be able to assist students and parents with monetary obligations such as helping with the purchase of school textbooks and paying fees. To date Children of Helen Alliance has contributed school supplies and book bags to Rainbow Project located in Au Leon, Dennery, students in Micoud, Vieux-Fort, Laborie, Choiseul areas. We also support annually The St. Lucy's Childhood Missionary in Micoud- children helping children back to school program.

School materials and supplies for tomorrow's future

We are reaching out to you to donate to our annual book, book bag, and back to school supplies drive. Last year, we raised over $1000.00 making it possible for us to continue providing underprivileged infant and primary schools students in Saint Lucia with much-needed school supplies.

We are asking for monetary donations to support this drive as well as donations of books, book-bags, and school supplies All money raised will be used to fund our S.M.A.R.T. Future Youth Program which benefits infant and primary school students in Saint Lucia. Children of Helen Alliance Inc. has partnered with a school supplies wholesaler in Florida to provide the following:

1.    Infant (Elementary) school Students – ages 5-7 years

Wholesale 6 Piece School Supply Kit - $2.85 + book bag -$ 2.75 = $5.60 per child.

2.    Primary( Middle) school Students – ages 8-12 years

Wholesale 10 Piece School Supply Kit - $4.00 + book bag - $3.75 = $7.75 per child.

Please                for a description of supplies in each kit and to make a donation.

Children of Helen Alliance Inc. is concerned about the welfare of the elderly population in St. Lucia.  We have been distributing care packages to the elderly at least bi-annually.  These packages are mainly personal care supplies such as toothpaste, deodorant, body lotion, shampoo & conditioner, soap, bath towels/washcloth, and socks. We would like to increase the distribution to every 3 months instead of every 6 months.  Last year July, I personally distributed about 20 personal care packages to the elderly and it was a life-changing experience.  One would be surprised to see how such a small donation could make a big difference in someone's life.  These small gestures of giving are appreciated by those in need who have limited resources.  It is important to remember that most of the elderly population have little or no income and depend on their children to support them.  Sometimes the things we take for granted become secondary to someone else.  These toiletries for basic personal care are very expensive in St. Lucia and take a backseat when the elderly have to buy food and medicine. We are asking for donations of toiletries in order to meet the needs of our elderly in St. Lucia. Any physical donations can be made our PO BOX. We appreciate any form of aid that you can provide.
